BERKELEY – California enjoyed the sunny weather over the weekend and produced bright results as it delivered its first Pac-12 sweep punctuated by a 3-1 victory over Utah on Sunday at Levine-Fricke Field.

After allowing the Utes (20-21, 2-13) a one-run lead in the top of the third, the Golden Bears capitalized on a critical fielding error with a pair of runners on during Bradie Fillmore's at-bat that allowed Fillmore to reach second base, Jazmyn Jackson to advance to third and Sabrina Nunez to tie things at 1-1.

Jackson found home moments later on a passed ball and then senior Kobie Pettis provided the final margin on an RBI single to get Fillmore across the plate.

Pitching duo Kamalani Dung and Zoe Conley tag-teamed on Sunday to close out the sweep with Dung picking up her 17th win and Conley her sixth save of the season. Dung delivered five strikeouts in 4.2 innings, before Conley closed things out retiring a pair of batters in a quick effort.

"I thought our pitchers were masterful this weekend to get balance a good showing by our offense," said head coach Diane Ninemire. "We got some timely hits and that helped to get our first series and sweep this season. I'm happy with the effort."

The Bears head to Davis, Calif., on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. (PT) non-conference matchup against the Aggies. The Bears hosted UC Davis on Feb. 14 and recorded a 1-0 win at Levine-Fricke Field.
