Cal Continues Its Four-Game Homestand This Week

Bears Host Oregon And No. 16 Colorado This Week
BERKELEY - Returning to Pac-12 play this week, the California women's lacrosse team hosts Oregon and No. 16 Colorado this weekend. Sunday's contest against the Buffaloes will also be Senior Day for the Golden Bears seven seniors -
Camille Doan,
Parker Garrett,
Meredith Haggerty,
Elizabeth Koehler,
Chloe Landry,
Kate Mattimore and
Alexandra Robertson.
Cal is 7-11 all-time against Oregon and 2-2 all-time against Colorado. Oregon has won the last four consecutive contests against Cal,while the Buffaloes have won the last two meetings against the Bears after Cal won the first two.
While
Kirsten Swanson currently leads the Cal scoring this season with 40 points on 30 goals and 10 assists, she is one of 13 Bears to score at least one point and one goal this season. Seven of the 13 goal scorers have tallied 10 or more scores.
Defensively,
Meredith Haggerty leads the charge with 17 caused turnovers as one of the most aggressive players on the field at all times.
Elizabeth Koehler tops Cal's season charts in ground balls (30) and draws (60). Koehler's 60 draws rank third in school single-season history, while Haggerty is right behind her on that list in fourth with 50. After notching a career-best nine draws against Fresno State last Friday, Koehler currently ranks fourth in the Pac-12 in that category.
Haggerty ranks third in school history in career draws with 129 and she ranks tied for third in career caused turnovers with 59. Koehler is sixth on Cal's career list for caused turnovers with 54, while her 123 career draws rank fifth in school history. Wilkens' 114 career ground balls rank third all-time in school history, seven shy of second. Also on the career draws list,
Chloe Landry is sixth with 119.
Nikki Zaccaro has been a solid contributor for the Bears in the last six games, all games in which she has started. While her season totals include 25 points on 11 goals and 14 assists (team best), Zaccaro has accumulated seven goals and 12 assists in her last six games. She boasts her best games of the year thus far in both meetings against Arizona State. She amassed seven points in the Berkeley (3 goals, 4 assists) meeting and four last Sunday in Tempe (2 goals, 2 assists). Last Friday against Fresno State, she collected three assists.
Cal finishes the regular season on Friday, April 20, against No. 12 Stanford at 7 p.m. from California Memorial Stadium.
