BERKELEYNo. 24 California (34-10, 7-10 Pac-12) concluded its non-conference slate with a 4-0 decision over visiting Sacramento State (27-17, 12-6 Big Sky), to take the series and bring its win streak to eight.

Freshman Mikayla Coelho (1-for-2) provided the backing junior Lindsay Rood (2-for-3) needed to propel the Golden Bears to a shutout after a trio of RBI on a two-run homer and sac fly allowed Rood to score twice and put the Bears ahead 3-0 after as many innings.

Second in the lineup, Rood tripled to lead off the third frame, and by equally impressive measures made her way to third base in the opening frame on a single and a pair of stolen bases. Rood's 28 burgled bags leads the Pac-12.

Bradie Fillmore was perfect on the day (1-for-1) and capitalized on a double to lead off the fourth, making her way home on a passed ball after advancing to third on a single from Cameron Kondo. Fillmore's 24th run of the season provided the final margin on a brisk, but sunny afternoon at Levine-Fricke Field.

Kamalani Dung earned her first save of the season pitching 2.0 innings and recording two strikeouts and no walks, while Zoe Conley got the Bears through the bulk of the game to collect her 16th win in 5.0 innings, giving up two walks and recording four strikeouts.

Cal will get right back to things on Friday, heading into its penultimate conference series with a three-game slate against No. 1 UCLA. The series opener is scheduled for a 3 p.m. (PT) first pitch, while Saturday is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and Sunday's closer will kick off at 2 p.m. The games will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks with Bear alum Kate Scott calling the action.
