Bears Mourn Passing Of Alum Scott Cauchois

BERKELEY – The California men's soccer team is mourning the passing of alumnus Scott Cauchois, 75, who passed away in early November.

Cauchois played for the Golden Bears under legendary head coach Bob DiGrazia and garnered All-America honors in 1965.

"Scott Cauchois was such an amazing guy," Cal head coach Kevin Grimes said. "First and foremost, he was a devoted husband and father, and that's what he will be remembered for most. His teammates at Cal loved him and wanted to be in his company all the time.

"Whenever I was with Scott after a Cal soccer match, alumni game or fundraising gathering, he always smiled and told me how happy he was with the program. One of the all-time great players in Cal soccer history, he will be sorely missed."
