Cal's 33 points scored tonight were a season best.
 
Devon Modster completed 16 of 24 passes for 230 yards and three touchdown passes, and seven carries for 43 yards and one rushing TD. It was the first time in his career that Modster threw three touchdown passes.
 
Modster boasted two long pass plays on the night. He connected with Makai Polk for a 52-yard touchdown reception that was both Polk's first career touchdown and a career-long reception. It was Modster's longest pass completion at Cal. He threw a 70-yarder while playing at UCLA. Prior to that, Modster connected with Jordan Duncan for a 48-yd reception on the final play of the first quarter. The reception was the longest in Duncan's career.
 
With his 10 tackles tonight, Evan Weaver is ninth on Cal's single-season tackles list with 137. His 2018 total of 159 ranks second. Weaver now boasts double digit tackles in 15 of the last 16 games.  
 
Gavin Reinwald caught his first career touchdown pass on the first play of the second quarter.
 
Jaylinn Hawkins caught his first interception of the season – and the eighth of his career – on the opening drive of the game.
 
Hawkins later forced his third career fumble, which was recovered for the third time in the career of Ashtyn Davis.
 
Christopher Brown Jr. ran 27 yards on the next play for a touchdown on the next play that was the Golden Bears' quickest score this season. The run was also the longest of his career. Brown ended the night with 19 carries for 95 yards and a touchdown.
 
In the third quarter, Brown scored a receiving touchdown, marking the first time in his career that he has scored a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown in the same game.
 
Ben Hawk Schrider recorded his first sack at Cal in the second quarter.
 
Ashtyn Davis returned his first career punt.
 
Collin Moore made his first career start.
 
Ryan Puskas made his first collegiate appearance and secured a tackle on a kickoff.
