• Cal has won twice (Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational, The Farms Invitational) in 2018-19 while finishing in the top five in nine of its 11 stroke-play events.
• National Player of the Year candidate and Pac-12 Men's Golfer of the Year Collin Morikawa is among the nation's top-ranked golfers according to Golfstat (No. 2) and Golfweek/Sagarin (No. 3), while he is also second nationally with a 68.39 stroke average that is within 0.03 strokes of national leader Matthew Wolff of Oklahoma State (68.36) and 0.29 strokes ahead of the all-time NCAA record of 68,68 he set in 2017-18
• Cal has three seniors in its lineup – Collin Morikawa, Sebastian Crampton, KK Limbhasut – each looking to get back to the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2016. The trio has combined for 10 career victories over cumulative totals of 141 events and 437 rounds. A fourth senior – Ben Doyle – is also in Myrtle Beach as a substitute. Doyle has never played in the NCAA Championships over career totals of 27 events and 82 rounds.

Cal's History At NCAA Regionals

• Cal last advanced out of an NCAA Regional to the NCAA Championships in 2016 when the Golden Bears finished fourth in Tucson. 
• Cal has won two NCAA Regional titles in 2012 at Stanford and 2013 at Pullman.
• Michael Weaver is Cal's lone medalist at an NCAA Regional when he was the co-individual medalist at the 2013 NCAA Pullman Regional.
• Cal finished 10th in its most recent NCAA Regional in Raleigh in 2018 with Collin Morikawa leading the way with a tied for 10th place showing.
• KK Limbhasut has twice tied for fourth at an NCAA Regional (2015 Lubbock, 2016 Tucson).
