BERKELEY – The unbeaten California men's soccer team continues its nonconference schedule when it hosts American on Friday at 5 p.m. and Denver on Sunday at 12 p.m., with the latter game broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks in Cal's 2019 television debut. The Golden Bears bring a 2-0-1 record into Friday's match against the 0-3-1 Eagles, while Denver also sports a 0-3-1 record prior to its Friday game at Stanford.
 
Cal was ranked 25th in the TopDrawerSoccer.com week two poll and received votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches rankings.
 
Troy Clardy and Kelly Gray will announce Sunday's game, which will be aired live on the Pac-12 Network and on Pac-12 Bay Area.

Tickets are now on sale for the 2019 season at Edwards Stadium. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and $5 for youth. Entry is free for ages 13 and below Monday through Thursday. Del Mundo Named To TDS Team Of The Week
Alonzo Del Mundo earned a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week after assisting on all three goals in Cal's 3-0 victory at UC Santa Barbara on Sept. 7.
 
The sophomore forward got his first assist 45 seconds into the game. His cross found freshman forward Arman Samimi in front of goal, and Samimi redirected the ball to Simon Lekressner, who scored to give the Bears the 1-0 lead. Del Mundo also assisted Samimi in the 14th minute and, via a corner kick, set up junior forward Tommy Williamson's strike in the 39th minute.
 
Samimi also collected an assist on Lekressner's goal and along with his first collegiate goal posted his first three points as a Bear. Williamson leads Cal with two goals through three games and is tied with Del Mundo for the team lead in points with four each.
 
About the Eagles

• AU lost to Appalachian State, 1-0, and to Campbell, 4-0, in its previous two games
• The Eagles compiled a 4-9-5 record last season
• Zach Samol is in his first year as American's head coach

 
About the Pioneers

• Denver lost to No. 11 Notre Dame, 1-0, and No. 2 Indiana, 2-1 in overtime, in its most recent games
• The Pioneers, who had a 15-4-2 record last season when they reached the NCAA tournament's second round, were ranked 18th in this year's United Soccer Coaches' preseason poll
• Jamie Franks is in his fifth season as Denver's head coach
