Cal Senior PK Sets New Career Highs With Three Field Goals And 11 Points In North Texas Win
BERKELEY – Senior placekicker
Greg Thomas was named both the Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week and one of three Lou Groza Place-kicker Award Stars across the nation on Monday, picking up each honor for the first time in his career. Thomas made all three of his field goal attempts and both of his extra points in a 23-17 victory over North Texas on Saturday, setting career highs for field goals made and points (11).
Thomas is the second Cal player to earn both national and Pac-12 Player of the Week honors in as many weeks following the selection of
Evan Weaver, who was named the National Defensive Player of the Week by multiple organizations as well as the Pac-12's Defensive Player of the Week after his 18-tackle effort in a win at Washington.

Cal Career (2018 – Present)
• Has played in all 16 games possible off the bench and made 19-of-25 field goals as well as all 39 of his extra-point attempts for a total of 96 points as Cal's active career leader in all three categoriesÂ
Senior (2019)
• Ranks second in the Pac-12 and tied for eighth nationally with an average of 2.33 field goals made per game
• Has made 7-of-8 field goals including each of his last five and all seven of his extra points
• Set single-game career highs for field goals made (3) and points (11) when he was converted all five of his kicks (3-3 FG, 2-2 PAT) in a 23-17 win against North Texas
• Made both of his field goals and extra points including a game-winning 17-yard field goal with 0:08 remaining in a 20-19 win at No. 14/12 Washington
• Connected on 2-of-3 field goals including a career-long 47-yarder and all three of his extra points in a 27-13 victory over UC Davis
