BERKELEY -  Haas Pavilion will be rocking Friday when the Cal women's basketball team welcomes Utah to Haas Pavilion for the Sixth Annual School Haas Rock game. The Golden Bears (8-9, 0-6 Pac-12) and Utes (9-8, 2-4 Pac-12) at 12:00 p.m. PT in front of nearly 3,000 elementary and middle school-aged children from schools across the Bay Area. Now in its sixth year, School Haas Rock incorporates educational components into the game day experience, with this year's focus on STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.

Along with the energy in the building, head coach Charmin Smith and the Golden Bears are looking forward to the opportunity to get back in the win column. The Bears are in search of their first conference win of the year, and recently wrapped up a stretch of four consecutive games against Top-10 opponents. Cal returns to the Bay after a 105-55 loss at No. 6 Oregon their last time out. Freshman Jazlen Green and redshirt senior Sara Anastasieska scored in double-figures in the loss, led by a career-high 16 points from Green in her first collegiate start. Green and Anastasieska went a combined 7-18 (39%) from three-point range as the Bears shot over 30 percent from both the floor and distance on the day. However, it was not enough to keep up with Oregon's high-flying offense. The Ducks shot 61% from the floor and 59% from three-point range, and had five players score in double-figures, led by a game-high 31 points from Satou Sabally.

The Bears look to rebound on Friday, playing at home where they have a record of 7-4 on the year. Two of those three losses have been decided by a single-possession, with close calls against No. 14 Kentucky and Washington.

To get back in the win column, the Bears will need to slow a Utah squad that is in the midst of a two-game winning streak. The Utes went 0-4 to start the conference campaign, but have since rattled off back-to-back wins over USC and Colorado.

Cal and Utah met once last season, a victory for the Utes in Salt Lake City. The Bears lead the overall series between the schools, 13-9, though the Utes have won five of the last seven matchups.
