Golden Bears And Ducks To Meet On Latest Date Ever In Calendar Year In 83rd All-Time Meeting
SAN FRANCISCO – The Cal-Oregon game scheduled to take place this Saturday, Dec. 5, is slated to kick off at 4:00 pm PST and be televised live by ESPN from California Memorial Stadium in Berkeley, Calif. The 83rd all-time meeting between the teams will occur on the latest date on calendar year ever with the previous mark a contest won 6-0 by Cal and played in Berkeley on November 23, 1918.
Cal leads the all-time series, 41-39-2, despite the Ducks taking 10 of the last 11 contests with the exception during the stretch a memorable 52-49 double overtime Golden Bears' win in Berkeley on Oct. 21, 2016. Cal had won four of five before the current stretch.
Cal dropped to 0-3 overall and in Pac-12 play this season after a 24-23 home loss to Stanford in the 123rd Big Game on Friday, while Oregon (3-1, 3-1 Pac-12) lost for the first time this season on the same day by dropping a 41-38 decision at Oregon State.
The kickoff time and television broadcast network for Cal's scheduled game at Washington State (Dec. 12) will be unveiled either six of 12 days in advance. The Pac-12 Championship Game will be a home-hosted model televised nationally by FOX and played on Friday, Dec. 18. Each of the league's 10 teams not involved in the title tilt will play on Saturday, Dec. 19, with matchups and other details to be announced at a later date.
Under current state and Pac-12 protocols, fans are not allowed to attend 2020 Cal home games in person.
