Former Cal players Keenan Allen (Los Angeles Chargers), Cameron Jordan (New Orleans) and Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay) were selected Monday for the Pro Bowl with the announcement made on NFL Network. Rodgers' selection is the ninth of his career (2009, '11, '12, '14, '15, '16, '18, '19, '20), while Jordan is a six-time pick (2013, '15, '17, '18, '19, '20) and Allen has been chosen each of the past four years (2017, '18, '19, '20). Jordan and Rodgers were selected as starters.

Jordan and Rodgers are two of the six former Cal players affiliated with NFL teams who have clinched playoff spots at the end of the league's Week 15 regular-season games that concluded Monday night with Tyson Alualu (Pittsburgh) the third on active 53-player roster. Three others – Mychal Kendricks (Seattle practice squad), Mitchell Schwartz (Kansas City injured reserve) and Davis Webb (Buffalo practice squad) – are affiliated with teams that have also secured playoff positions. The Packers, Chiefs and Bills have also secured NFC North, AFC West and AFC East crowns, respectively.

Sixteen other former Cal players are affiliated with NFL squads still in contention for the playoffs with two weeks remaining in the regular season including eight on active 53-player rosters in Devante Downs (New York Giants), Jared Goff (Los Angeles Rams), Jordan Kunaszyk (Washington), L.P. Ladouceur (Dallas), Patrick Laird (Miami), Patrick Mekari (Baltimore), Richard Rodgers (Philadelphia) and Nick Sundberg (Washington). Eight others – Austin Clark (Miami outside linebackers coach), Trevor Davis (Washington practice squad), DeSean Jackson (Philadelphia injured reserve), Khalfani Muhammad (Minnesota practice squad), Ron Rivera (Washington head coach), Vincent Rivera (Washington defensive quality control), Richard Rodgers Sr. (Washington assistant defensive backs coach) and Evan Weaver (Arizona practice squad) -- are also affiliated with NFL teams that still have a chance at a playoff spot.
