TEMPE, Ariz. -  The Cal women's basketball team takes to the road for its final weekend of the regular season, tipping off its road trip on Friday night against No. 24 Arizona State. The Golden Bears (10-17, 2-15 Pac-12) will square off against the Sun Devils (19-9, 9-7 Pac-12) at 8 p.m. MT/7 p.m. PT at Desert Financial Arena, in a game that will be broadcast live on Pac-12 Networks. Cal looks to continue its recent run of success on the road. Both the Bears' conference wins this season have come away from Berkeley, including an 88-74 win at Utah in their most recent road matchup. Freshman Cailyn Crocker led the Bears with a career-high 26 points in the win over the Utes, while three other players finished in double-figures in the win.

Crocker brought her scoring touch back to Berkeley, and scored in double-figures in both of the Bears' games last weekend against No. 3 Oregon and No. 15 Oregon State. After scoring 15 points in the Friday night matchup against the Ducks, Crocker poured in 17 points off the bench in the Bears' 76-63 loss to the Beavers. Senior Jaelyn Brown also had 17 points for the Bears, following up a 26-point performance against Oregon in which she joined the program's 1,000-point club. Brown has now scored in double-digits in her last seven outings, the longest such scoring streak of her career. The Murrieta, California native has played in 126 career games for the Golden Bears and ranks 12th in the conference in scoring at 14.9 points per game this season.

Sunday's matchup against the Beavers saw Cal take a 16-14 lead after the first quarter. Oregon State led 25-24 at the half, before a third quarter surge gave them the lead for good. Junior forward Alaysia Styles added nine points and a team-high seven rebounds for the Bears.

Cal heads to Tempe for its lone matchup of the season against the Sun Devils. The series between the schools has been tightly contested as of late, and saw the teams split the two meetings last season, each winning on their own home court. Arizona State has won the last four games between the teams in Tempe, though all four have come by 10 points or fewer, including a 62-61 victory over the Bears last season.

SCOUTING THE SUN DEVILS
Arizona State saw its three-game winning streak come to an end on Sunday, falling at Utah, 75-71.  The Utes outscored the Sun Devils 26-15 in the third quarter to take control, and went 11-21 from three-point range on the day. Utah outrebounded Arizona State, 33-30, although the Sun Devils held a 12-4 advantage in offensive rebounds.

Sun Devils senior Reili Richardson had a team-high 22 points in the loss and connected on six three-pointers on the day, one shy of matching the program's single-game record. Eboni Walker (13 points), Robbi Ryan (10 points) and Ja'Tavia Tapley (10 points) also scored in double-figures in the loss.

Tapley, a graduate transfer from USC, leads the Sun Devils in both scoring (11.8 PPG) and rebounding (6.4 RPG) this season while Ryan is also averaging double-digit scoring on the year with 10.8 points per game. Richardson ranks third in the conference with a 2.5 assist-to-turnover ratio on the year and is the program's all-time assist leader.

Arizona State is 12-2 at home this season, with victories over Oregon and Oregon State. The Sun Devils' only home losses this season have come against UCLA and Arizona.

Head coach Charli Turner Thorne is in her 23rd season with the Sun Devils and returns 10 letterwinners from last season's team that went 22-11 and finished 5th in the Pac-12 standings. Arizona State was picked fifth in the 2019-20 Pac-12 Preseason Coaches Poll.
