Senior Diver Earned Seventh-Place Finish In 1-Meter

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Connor Callahan scored a season-best 314.85 in the 1-meter prelims and took seventh place in the finals to highlight his week at the Pac-12 Men's Diving Championships at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.
 
In his final Pac-12 Championships appearance, Callahan earned the Bears 28 total points that will be added to next week's swimming portion of the meet, held in Federal Way on March 4-7.
 
Callahan entered the 1-meter finals in sixth place following his 314.85; he scored 307.15 in the finals on Thursday, Feb. 28 to take seventh place in the event. The senior diver later took 10th place in the 3-meter (308.30 in prelims) on Friday and ninth place on the platform (279.85 in prelims).
 
Callahan had already met the NCAA Championships-qualifying standards for both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives and will now shift his attention to preparations for the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships on March 9-11, also held in Federal Way.
