LAS VEGAS -  Cal's Pac-12 Tournament run came to a close on Friday, falling to Arizona 86-73 in the quarterfinals of the 2020 Pac-12 Tournament at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. The 13

"Obviously, we're disappointed that our journey comes to an end today, but I am super proud of the team that we were all year," said Bears' first-year head coach
Charmin Smith. "I am proud of the fight that we showed, the growth that we showed and proud of the tone that our seniors set for this program and the foundation that was established."

In their first action since Sunday's Senior Day loss to Cal, Arizona got off to a hot start and opened the game on a 9-0 run. Cal quickly responded with back-to-back three-pointers by
Cailyn Crocker and Styles, and then Brown took over, scoring 10 of her 25 points in the first quarter.
However, Arizona pulled away in the second quarter, outscoring the Bears, 19-8, in the second frame to take a 41-27 into the locker room. The Wildcats used a 14-2 run to extend their lead to as many as 17 points in the second quarter, which saw Cal shoot 25 percent (3-12) from the floor.
Arizona extended its lead to as many as 21 points late in the third quarter, before the Bears outscored the Wildcats, 29-24, in the fourth. Green scored 12 of her 15 points in the fourth quarter, going 4-6 from three-point range over the final 10 minutes. Brown hit a jumper with 38 seconds left to cut Arizona's lead to 10, but the Bears would get no closer.
