FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – California men's swimming and diving won its third consecutive Pac-12 Conference Championship as it finished off a dominant week with five victories and three meet records on Saturday night at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.

The Bears finished the meet with 856 points, nearly 300 points ahead of second-place Arizona (578) and third-place Stanford (573.5). It was the seventh Pac-12 team title in program history and fifth under head coach David Durden. It also marked the first time that Cal has won three straight Pac-12 team titles; the Bears' previous six championships have all come in twos (1980, '81; '11, '12; '18, '19).

Ryan Hoffer was named the Pac-12 Swimmer of the Meet after amassing five total victories, including three individual crowns, throughout the week. The junior capped his impressive meet on Saturday with a 41.45 win in the 100-yard freestyle and a come-from-behind anchor in Cal's meet-record 2:46.92 win in the 400 free relay.

Cal's first victory on Saturday was earned by Daniel Carr in the 200 back as he broke Ryan Murphy's 2017 meet record (1:38.07) with a 1:37.87. Four other Bears were in the 200 back A-Final including Hugo Gonzalez, who took third (1:39.66).

Reece Whitley made it a breaststroke sweep, blasting the field by more than three seconds with a1:49.85 in the 200 breast. Cal's final individual champion of the night was Zheng Wen Quah, who broke his own meet record with a 1:39.15 in the 200 fly. Quah and Trenton Julian (1:40.78) pulled away from the field by more than two seconds to make it a 1-2 finish for Cal.

The Bears put an exclamation point on their title in the 400 free relay as they swam away with a meet-record 2:46.92. Michel Jensen led off with a 42.85 and was followed by Pawel Sendyk (41.43) and Daniel Carr (41.65) in the second and third legs. Hoffer then put the race away with a 40.99 anchor.
