BERKELEY –California volleyball fell 19-25, 16-25, 11-25 to Colorado Friday night at Haas Pavilion.
Bella Bergmark had a team high six kills for the Bears (7-11, 0-7 Pac-12).
Maya Tabron tallied a match best 13 kills for the Buffaloes (12-4, 3-4 Pac-12).Â
How It Happened:
CU scored six of seven points to take an 8-4 lead as
Sam Taumoepeau ended the run with a kill, but the Buffs kept it going from there, making it a 10-2 run as Cal used its first timeout. The Bears got some momentum back, scoring five points in a row to make the score 23-18, CU, until the visitors scored the two of the final three to take the first, 25-19.
Lydia Grote made her return to the Cal lineup in the second set, recording back-to-back kills. The Buffs used a 3-0 run to go up 15-10 as the Bears took their first timeout, and the home team couldn't recover from there giving CU a 2-0 lead in the match.
Colorado jumped out 7-0 in the third and cruised to a 3-0 victory in the match. Â
