Cal Hosts UCLA Saturday At Witter
BERKELEY – After two weeks on the road, the Cal men's soccer team returns to Witter Rugby Field to host UCLA on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Â
Cal brings a 1-3-0 record (1-3-0 Pac-12) into the conference clash with the Bruins (1-4-1, 0-3-1 Pac-12), after edging San Diego State, 3-2, on March 13 in San Diego.
Â
In that game,
Arman Samimi's 81st-minute goal sewed up a seesaw battle with SDSU. Cal trailed 1-0 before
Fahmi Ibrahim scored in the 34th minute, and in the 63rd minute
Jonathan Estrada's free-kick goal put Cal ahead 2-1. After another San Diego State goal and an SDSU red card, Samimi – playing in his first game of the season – notched the winner.
