BERKELEY - The Cal football team will conclude their spring practices with a game at 2 p.m. on Saturday at California Memorial Stadium. The game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network with Ted Robinson (Play-by-Play), Yogi Roth (Analyst) and Mike Pawlawski (Sideline) handling the commentary. Cal ends a productive spring as the Bears have had 15 practices with numerous days of full pads scrimmages as the team prepares for the 2021 season.Â
CARRYING SUCCESS INTO 2021
- Cal has defeated the reigning Pac-12 Champion in three consecutive years (2018 vs. USC, 2019 vs. Washington, 2020 vs. Oregon).
- Cal has wins over Washington (2018) and Oregon (2020) in the year they won the Pac-12 titles.
- Cal has defeated a ranked team during every season of
Justin Wilcox's tenure (2017 vs. No. 8/9 Washington State, 2018 vs. No. 15/13 Washington, 2019 vs. No. 14/12 Washington and 2020 vs. No. 23/21/20 Oregon).
- Cal has defeated each of the other five teams in the Pac-12 North during
Justin Wilcox's tenure.Â
- The Bears are 9-0 in regular season non-conference games during Wilcox's tenure, including wins over North Carolina (Home & Away), Ole Miss (H&A), BYU (A), North Texas (H), UC Davis (H), Idaho State (H) and Weber State (H). Cal also has a 2019 Redbox Bowl win over Illinois.

- Cal returns 28 of the 33 players who made starts during the 2020 season.Â
- The Bears bring back nine of the 11 players that started all four games last season: Crawford, Deng, Drayden, Garbers, Goode, Hicks, Johnson, Mettauer and Saffell.Â
- Cal returns 29 of the 33 players who played in all four games in 2019
- The offensive line returns an experience unit that includes 10 players that have combined for 143 games played and 99 starts.Â
TRAVERS FAMILY ENDOWS HEAD COACH POSITION
- The Travers made a $10 million commitment from the Travers Family Foundation to UC Berkeley's Light the Way campaign.
- The Travers have made a $7.5 million commitment to endow the Travers Family Head Football Coach, providing essential resources for Cal football to ensure a world-class program, an exceptional coaching staff and a continued positive impact on student-athletes. In addition, the Travers have also made a $2.5 million commitment to augment their endowment for the Charles and Louise Travers Department of Political Science that supports this preeminent, nationally-ranked department.

- Cal will have a pregame virtual fan fest prior to the start of Saturday's Spring Game. The 45-minute fan fest will begin at 1 p.m. and will be broadcast live on YouTube. The show will feature videos from coaches and contests for fans to win.Â
EARLY SPRING GAME
- Cal's spring game will be the second-earliest of any FBS school and tied for the earliest by a Power 5 program with Missouri. Only Campbell (March 13) played an earlier spring game.
- The early spring game allows the players to return home for spring break and then return for an extended spring conditioning series with first-year head football athletic performance coach
Brian Johnson.Â
- The team has already added 595 combined pounds of muscle since Johnson began offseason strength and conditioning program seven weeks ago.
