Cal Set To Face UC San Diego Friday Night
Tipoff Is At 7PM At Haas Pavilion
BERKELEY – The California women's basketball team (7-2) continues play at Haas Pavilion taking on the UC San Diego Tritons (2-5) this Friday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game can be viewed on the Cal Live Stream.
This Friday's game marks the sixth all-time meeting between the two programs with Cal holding a 4-1 series lead. Prior to the last meeting on Nov. 20, 2021, in a 64-54 win, the two teams only played each other when both were part of the North Central Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (NCIAC) in the 1970s.
For this game and the game against Florida A&M on Sunday, the Cal women's basketball team will be holding a "Pledge For Points" fundraiser for former Cal women's basketball assistant coach Kevin Morrison (2007 - 2010), who has recently been diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease. The disease has been progressing aggressively and the funds raised will be used to help his family pay for medical and living expenses. Fans can learn more about Kevin's story and contribute to the fundraiser by pledging a donation amount per point the Bears score this weekend or give a one-time donation by clicking
