Cal Faces Florida A&M Sunday
Tipoff Is At Noon
BERKELEY – The California women's basketball team (8-2) concludes non-conference play at Haas Pavilion taking on the Florida A&M Rattlers (2-7) this Sunday. Tipoff is scheduled for noon and the game can be viewed on Pac-12 Network.
This Sunday's game marks the first-ever meeting between the two programs and is part of the Pac-12/SWAC Legacy Series, a partnership between the two conferences aimed at creating both a forum for competition, as well as promotion and education around issues of anti-racism and social justice.
Fans are encouraged to bring brand new teddy bears as part of the Teddy Bear Toss. All the bears will be to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital with the help of CalTHON.
For this game, the Cal women's basketball team will be holding a "Pledge For Points" fundraiser for former Cal women's basketball assistant coach Kevin Morrison (2007 - 2010), who has recently been diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease. The disease has been progressing aggressively and the funds raised will be used to help his family pay for medical and living expenses. Fans can learn more about Kevin's story and contribute to the fundraiser by pledging a donation amount per point the Bears score this weekend or give a one-time donation by clicking
