Cal Is Only School With More Than One First-Team Selection On Offense

BERKELEY – Cal freshmen Jaydn Ott and J.Michael Sturdivant were named first-team Freshman All-Americans by The Athletic on Friday with Ott selected as an all-purpose player and Sturdivant as a wide receiver. Cal is the only school with more one first-team selection on offense.

The selection was the third postseason national honor for Ott, who was named to the Pro Football Focus All-True Freshman squad last week and a second-team Freshman All-American by College Football News on Tuesday, both as a running back. Sturdivant's first-team Freshman All-American selection is his second after also earning the same recognition from College Football News, both as a wide receiver.
