Women’s Basketball Hires Creative Staff
Marquez Bura, Alec Ripp To Lead Program’s Creative Efforts
BERKELEY – The California women's basketball team announced the hirings of Marquez Bura as director of creative content and Alec Ripp as director of graphic design on Monday.
Bura will be responsible for strategy and development of video content that showcases student-athletes, special events, player and coach features that will be used for social media, web and traditional media as well as the support of recruiting efforts and in-game entertainment. Ripp will lead creative direction and content creation that supports a number of areas for the program including recruiting, promotion of student-athletes and coaches, special events and game days.
Bura most recently served as a video producer for Cal Athletics, supporting a number of teams through developing video content for the department's website and social channels. Prior to that he spent the 2022-23 season with the Sacramento Kings as a video producer where he helped produce and edit video content used for the Kings' marketing and social media platforms.
Ripp has been operating as a freelance designer in Lincoln, Nebraska the last five years and has produced visual content for a variety of clients including several student-athletes at the University of Nebraska as well as players in the National Football League.
