Jaydn Ott's honorable mention All-American and first-team All-Pac-12 selections highlighted Cal's picks among Phil Steele's postseason honors.
Jaydn Ott's honorable mention All-American selection led the California football team's selections on 2023 postseason All-American and All-Pac-12 teams announced by Phil Steele on Monday.
Ott was also a first-team All-Pac-12 selection, while
Kaleb Elarms-Orr and
Lachlan Wilson picked up second-team honors,
Cade Uluave was a third-team choice, and
Jeremiah Hunter,
David Reese and
Craig Woodson were named to the fourth team.

Kaleb Elarms-Orr, ILB, 6-2, 200, Jr., 3rd Season At Cal (Hayward, Calif./Moreau Catholic HS)
– Started each of the 11 games he played in, missing the contest at Oregon due to injury and not playing vs. Texas Tech in the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl after announcing on Dec. 1 that he would be entering the transfer portal and then officially entering on Dec. 4
– Recorded all of his career stats other than participation with a team-high 92 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss (-7 yards), 1.0 sack (-2 yards), one interception that he returned one yard, five pass breakups, a team-high six quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery that he returned two yards
– Third in the Pac-12 in tackles per game (8.4, No. 43 NCAA) and fourth in total tackles (No. 65T)
Jeremiah Hunter, WR, 6-2, 200, Jr., 4th Season At Cal (Fresno, Calif./Central HS)
– Played in all 13 games with 11 starts, and contributed team highs of 62 receptions, 703 yards receiving and seven touchdown catches with the receptions and touchdown receptions both career highs, while adding his first career rush for nine yards and team highs of nine punt returns and 26 punt return yards, as well as one kick return for eight yards to total 746 all-purpose yards
Jaydn Ott, RB, 6-0, 200, So., 2nd Season At Cal (Chino, Calif./Norco HS/Bishop Gorman HS)
– Played in and started 12 of 13 games, and rushed 245 times for 1,305 yards with 12 touchdowns on the ground, while adding 26 receptions for 196 yards and two touchdown catches, as well as three kick returns for a team-high 144 yards and one touchdown on his first career kick return at any level of football (all career highs other than his receiving numbers)
– Totaled career highs of 1,645 all-purpose yards, 1,501 yards from scrimmage and 15 touchdowns

David Reese, OLB, 6-2, 240, R-Sr., 6th Collegiate Season/1st Season At Cal (Fort Pierce, Fla./Florida/Vero Beach HS/Fort Pierce Central HS)
– Played in all 13 games including his first six career starts, and contributed career highs of 35 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss (-59 yards), 6.5 sacks (-58 yards), three forced fumbles, two pass breakups and four quarterback hurries, with all of his stats other than games played and tackles the first of his career
– Among Pac-12 and NCAA leaders in forced fumbles per game (0.25, No. 3T Pac-12, No. 16T NCAA), sack yards (No. 5 Pac-12, No. 31T NCAA), sacks (No. 7T Pac-12, No. 55T NCAA), sacks per game (0.50, No. 9T Pac-12, No. 70T NCAA) and tackle for loss yards (No. 8 Pac-12)
Cade Uluave, ILB, 6-1, 230, Fr., 1st Season At Cal (South Jordan, Utah/Mountain Ridge HS)
– Played in all 13 games including the first six starts of his career in Cal's final six contests, and contributed 66 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss (-42 yards), 2.5 sacks (-26 yards), two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries that he returned for 51 yards and one of the team's three fumble returns for a touchdown, two interceptions that he returned for four yards and three pass breakups
Lachlan Wilson, P, 6-3, 195, R-Jr., 5th Season Of Collegiate Football/1st Season At Cal (Eaglemont, Australia/Tulsa/Xavier College)
– Played in all 13 games off the bench and registered a 44.5 yards per punt average that was seventh on Cal's all-time list and for a career is currently the best in Cal history
– Punted 52 times for 2,315 yards including 17 that traveled 50 or more yards, 15 that pinned opponents inside-the-20 with only two touchbacks, and 14 that forced opponents into fair catches
– Second in the Pac-12 and 23rd nationally in yards per punt average
Craig Woodson, DB, 6-0, 210, R-Jr., 5th Season At Cal (Grand Prairie, TX/South Grand Prairie HS)
– One of Cal's four defensive players and one of seven overall to start all 13 games
– Contributed career highs of 79 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss (-7 yards) and two forced fumbles, and a career-high-tying three pass breakups, while also picking up one interception
