The California women's basketball team will wrap up the Acrisure Classic when it takes on former Pac-12 foe Arizona in the third-place game of the tournament on Wednesday at 11 a.m. PT at Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs.

This marks the 77th meeting between the two programs with the series knotted at 38-38, although Arizona holds a seven-game win streak going into this contest. The last time the Bears defeated the Wildcats was in a 55-54 victory on March 1, 2020 in Tucson. In the most recent matchup, Lulu Twidale had her best game as a Bear going off for 24 points (9-of-11) and six triples (6-of-7).

A win against Arizona would give Cal its third victory against a 2024 NCAA Tournament team after having already defeated Gonzaga and Auburn in the past two weeks.

Arizona is led by ninth-year head coach Adia Barnes who guided the team to a fourth-straight NCAA Tournament in 2023-24. The Wildcats feature six returners from last year's team highlighted by leading scorer (13.0 points per game) and rebounder (8.0 rebounds per game) Breya Cunningham and Jada Williams, who was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshmen team last year.

Wednesday's game will air on TruTV with Cindy Brunson and Christy Winters-Scott on the call.
