Buchanan had a standout season for the Bears as a transfer, starting every game at inside linebacker and finishing second in the conference with 112 tackles. Buchanan also added 11 tackles for loss, five sacks, four passes broken up and two forced fumbles.
Williams was a ballhawk on the defensive side of the ball, bringing in seven interceptions to lead the country. One of the top defensive backs in the NCAA, Williams finished second in the ACC in passes defended (15), was fourth in passes broken up (8) and returned a kickoff for a touchdown in the season-opening win over UC Davis.
Wilson is finishing off one of the best punting careers in Cal history with one of the best seasons in program history. Wilson's 45.02 yards per punt in 2024 is just 0.54 yards behind single-season school-record holder Bryan Anger's 45.56 mark in 2010.
Carlton has been in the opponents' backfield throughout the season and is fourth in the conference in sacks (9). He tied for the team lead in tackles for loss (11), while adding eight quarterback hurries and a pass broken up. Carlton is 1.0 sack away from becoming the first Cal player with 10.0 or more sacks since Zack Follett registered 10.5 in 2008.
Woodson has started the team's last 37 games over the past two-plus seasons and tied for second on the squad with 67 tackles in 2024. He added two interceptions, seven passes broken up and one fumble recovery this season. Woodson has totaled 242 tackles in his six-year career at Cal.
Endries is a go-to option on the offensive side of the ball and led the team with 49 receptions in 2024, while his 562 reception yards are second. Endries caught two touchdown passes with a long reception of 57 yards.
Uluave was on track to be one of the top tacklers in the conference before he missed the final three games of the regular season and four of the last five with an injury. Despite missing time Uluave still finished tied for second on the team with 67 tackles, adding five quarterback hurries and one interception.
