CAL BEGINS PAC-12 PLAY SATURDAY AT OREGON 
— Cal has won three straight games against Oregon, including a pair of one-goal wins over the Ducks last season with a 13-12 victory in the 2023 Pac-12 opener for both teams on March 17 in Eugene and a 14-13 win in Berkeley on April 21 that was the Golden Bears' final victory of the campaign.
— Cal also won the final game between the teams in 2022 with a 14-12 victory on April 1 of that year.
— Oregon's last victory in the series came in Eugene with a 12-9 win on March 25, 2022.
— The two wins over Oregon in 2023 moved the Bears ahead of the Ducks in the conference standings into the No. 5 seed at the six-team Pac-12 Championships. The seed was Cal's best since being No. 4 in 2019. 
— Oregon leads the all-time series, 17-12.
— Cal is coming off back-to-back home victories over Winthrop and Butler this past Sunday and Tuesday to get to 3-5 on the season. Oregon has also won two straight over Merrimack and Furman after its only loss of the season at Rutgers on March 3. The Ducks' 6-1 start is their best through seven games since they were also 6-1 in 2015.
— Saturday's forecast in Eugene at first draw is calling for sunny skies, a temperature of 59 degrees and winds from the east at 6 miles per hour.

THE PAC-12 ROAD AHEAD
— Cal's 15-game schedule crossed the midway mark Tuesday with its final regular-season non-conference game of the season against Butler. The Bears played six of their first eight games at home but will play four of their final seven regular-season games on the road. Cal's remaining three home games are conference tilts against Colorado (March 23), UC Davis (April 13) and San Diego State (April 20).

LAST TIME OUT: CAL DOUBLES UP BUTLER, 16-8
— Five Golden Bears recorded multiple goals with Kennedy Goss and Mya Wang leading the way by each picking up a hat trick, while Josie Lillquist, Kate Rothman and Alyssa Studdert registered two goals each. Cal had nine players find the back of the net for the second straight contest with Annette Ciupek, Jane Middleton, Caroline Roxas and Belle Tiesi adding one goal apiece.
— Cal assisted on a season-high 10 of its 16 goals with Studdert picking up a team-high three while Goss had two as both finished with a team-high-tying five points. Lillquist also had a pair of assists, while Ciupek, Rothman and Simone Holland added one apiece.
Callan Fritsch had a big day in goal for the Bears, turning back 12 of 26 shots faced.
— The Bears led just 5-4 at half but outscored the Bulldogs 11-4 after the break in their highest-scoring half of the season.

OTHER NOTABLES
— Cal's back-to-back wins in its last two games are its first since knocking off UC Davis on the road and Oregon at home on April 15 and 21 of last season, while the Bears' last win streak of three or more games was a four-gamer from Feb. 22 – March 8, 2019.
— Cal has dominated draw controls this season with a 113-70 advantage, winning the battle in seven of eight games. Kennedy Goss (41), Courtney Wong (30), Kalena Johnson (23) and Annette Ciupek (13) are all in double digits. Goss is Cal's all-time leader with 243 and the program's single-season record holder with 83 in 2023. She ranks fourth in the Pac-12 and tied for 30th nationally this season. 
Callan Fritsch is second in the Pac-12 in save percentage (.473, T16th NCAA), third in saves (56) and fourth in goals against average (9.84, 29th NCAA).
— Cal has had the same starting lineup in each of its first eight contests.
— Cal has played 27 of the 33 players on its roster, including nine who have made their Cal debuts.
— Cal is playing its sixth and final season in the Pac-12 before officially becoming a member of the ACC on Aug. 2.
