Jackson Sirmon will sign an undrafted free agent contract with the New York Jets according to Sirmon.
Sirmon was one of three players from Cal's 2023 team to have been added to an NFL roster on Saturday and the second as an undrafted free agent along with offensive lineman

Patrick McMorris was selected Saturday in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins with the 198th pick overall. Cal has now had at least one player taken in the NFL Draft in 36 of the last 38 years and 81 of 89 overall since the first NFL Draft in 1936. McMorris was the 247th Cal player selected in the history of the NFL Draft and the Golden Bears' 255th pick in either the NFL or AFL Draft, with eight players taken in the latter that ran from 1960-69.

– Will sign an undrafted free agent contract with the New York Jets
– Recorded five tackles and one pass breakup at the 2024 Reese's Senior Bowl for the American squad that was defeated by the National team, 16-7
– Clocked a 4.26 in the 20-yard shuttle at Cal's 2024 Pro Day that would have been the third-best among inside linebackers at the 2024 NFL Combine, while he was also solid in both the vertical jump (34' 0") and broad jump (9'11") with marks that would have been in the middle of the pack among linebackers at the combine, and added to his resume and NFL value by long snapping

Collegiate Career (Washington 2018-21, California 2022-23)
– Played in 51 games with 34 starts over six seasons spanning four campaigns at Washington (2018-21) and two at Cal (2022-23)
– Compiled 301 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss (-42 yards), 4.5 sacks (-22 yards), two interceptions that he returned 21 yards, seven pass breakups, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, 37 fumble recovery yards, one fumble recovery touchdown, one quarterback hurry and one safety, while also rushing twice on fake punts for six yards and picking up first downs on each occasion
– Started each of the first six games at Cal as a sixth-year senior in 2023 before suffering a season-ending injury against Oregon State but still earned first-team All-Pac-12 honors from Pro Football Focus despite missing the final six contests, contributing 49 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss (-14 yards), 1.0 sack (-10 yards), two pass breakups, a career-high-tying one forced fumble, a career-high-tying one fumble recovery and one quarterback hurry
– Served as a student assistant coach working with the inside linebackers over the final seven games as a 2023 senior following his season-ending injury
– A first-team All-Pac-12 selection in a vote of the league's coaches as well as by the Associated Press and Pro Football Focus as a 2022 junior when he led Cal with a career-high 104 tackles, while adding career highs of 6.0 tackles for loss (-18 yards) and 3.5 sacks (-12 yards), four pass breakups, 37 fumble recovery yards and one fumble recovery touchdown, a career-high-tying one interception that he returned one yard, and one forced fumble
– Compiled four-year totals over 33 games played and 16 starts from 2019-22 at Washington of 147 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss (-10 yards), one interception that he returned 20 yards, one pass breakup, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and one safety, while also rushing once for four yards
– Earned honorable mention All-Pac-12 honors as a 2021 junior when he started all 12 games and finished tied for fifth in the Pac-12 with 92 tackles, while adding 0.5 tackles for loss (-6 yards), a career-high-tying one forced fumble and a career-high-tying one interception that he returned for a career-high 20 yards, one pass breakup and his lone career safety
