Chargers And Former Golden Bears Wide Receiver Becomes Fastest In NFL History To Hit Milestone.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen became the fastest player in NFL history and the 16th overall to reach 1,000 career receptions when he hit the milestone in Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season during a 27-10 home loss to Washington. Allen reached the milestone in his 159th career game.

Some of the other Week 5 highlights for Pro Bears included …
  • Detroit QB Jared Goff completed 19-of-23 passes for 258 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions for a 153.0 rating in a 37-24 home win at Cincinnati that was the Lions' fourth in a row.
  • San Francisco TE Jake Tonges continued his magical season by making a career-high seven catches for 41 yards, including a six-yard touchdown catch for the game's opening score and a combined four receptions in the fourth quarter and overtime of a 26-23 win at the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday Night Football. 
  • New England safeties Jaylinn Hawkins and Craig Woodson both started their fifth consecutive game and helped the Patriots win on the road at previously unbeaten Buffalo.
  • Baltimore LB Teddye Buchanan had 15 tackles in a 44-10 home loss to Houston to equal the most in an NFL game in 2015.
  • OT Jake Curhan was added to Carolina's active roster from the Arizona practice squad.
  • Cal has a player on the active roster of four of the league's seven 4-1 teams in S Camryn Bynum (Indianapolis), Goff, OL Patrick Mekari (Jacksonville) and Tonges.

Keenan Allen – WR, Los Angeles Chargers (3-2, No. 4 AFC, T1st AFC West): Allen became the fastest player in NFL history with 1,000 or more receptions and the 16th overall after totaling five catches for 58 yards in a 27-10 Week 5 home loss to Washington. Allen now has 29 receptions for 289 yards and three scoring grabs that tie for 12th in the NFL in his 13th season overall and 12th campaign with the Chargers in 2025.

Bryan Anger – P, Dallas (2-2-1, No. 12 NFC, 3rd NFC East): Anger punted five times for 228 yards (45.6 avg, 37.4 net) with a long of 54 on his first punt in a 37-22 Week 5 road win at the New York Jets. Anger has punted 17 times for 798 yards (46.9 avg, 39.5 net), including four punts inside the opponents' 20-yard line and four fair catches.

Chris Brooks – RB, Green Bay (2-1-1, No. 5 NFC, 2nd NFC North): Brooks contributed five receptions for 30 yards, one rush for one yard and four tackles over his first four contests in 2025 prior to the Packers' Week 5 bye.
Week 6 – Sun., Oct. 12, 1:25 pm – vs. Cincinnati (2-3) – CBS

Teddye Buchanan – LB, Baltimore (1-4, No. 12 AFC, T3rd AFC North): Buchanan registered a career-high 15 tackles that is tied for the most in an NFL game this season and his first career tackle for loss in a 44-10 Week 5 home loss to Houston. Buchanan has played in all five games with starts in each of the last four and leads the Ravens with 40 tackles through his first five NFL games as a 2025 rookie.

Camryn Bynum – S, Indianapolis (4-1, No. 1 AFC, T1st AFC South): Bynum had three tackles in a 40-6 Week 5 home win over Las Vegas. In his first five games of 2025, he has 21 tackles, as well as two interceptions that he has returned 14 yards and three pass defenses. Bynum is tied for fifth in the NFL with his two interceptions, while his three pass defenses are tied for the best on the team.
Week 6 – Sun., Oct. 12, 10 am – vs. Arizona (2-3) – FOX

Jake Curhan – OT, Carolina (2-3, No. 14 NFC, 3rd NFC South): Curhan made his debut for Carolina in a 27-24 Week 5 home win over Miami five days after the Panthers claimed him from the Arizona practice squad. Curhan also played in a single game for the Cardinals in 2025 in a 16-15 Week 3 loss at San Francisco.

Ashtyn Davis – S, Miami (1-4, No. 13 AFC, 3rd AFC East): Davis started for the third straight game and contributed five tackles in a 27-24 Week 5 loss at Carolina. Over the first five games (three starts) of 2025, Davis has 14 tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass defense.
Week 6 – Sun., Oct. 12, 10 am – vs. Los Angeles Chargers (3-2) – CBS

Jared Goff – QB, Detroit (4-1, No. 4 NFC, 1st NFC North): Goff completed 19-of-23 passes for 258 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions for a 153.0 rating in a 37-24 Week 5 home win at Cincinnati that was the Lions' fourth in a row. Goff leads the NFL with 12 touchdown passes over his first five games, has completed a career and NFL-high 75.2 percent of his passes (109-of-145) and also has a career-high 120.7 rating that is second in the league. His season featured an NFC Offensive Player of the Week performance in a 52-21 Week 2 home win over Chicago when he was 23-of-28 for 334 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions for a 156.0 rating, with his five touchdown passes equaling a career high and the rating his third-best ever in a game.
Week 6 – Sun., Oct. 12, 5:20 pm – at Kansas City (2-3) – NBC, UNIVERSO

Cameron Goode – LB, Miami (1-4, No. 13 AFC, 3rd AFC East): Goode had one tackle in a 27-24 Week 5 loss at Carolina. He has played in all five games this season off the bench and contributed a career-high-tying six tackles.
Week 6 – Sun., Oct. 12, 10 am – vs. Los Angeles Chargers (3-2) – CBS

Marcus Harris – CB, Tennessee (1-4, No. 15 AFC, 4th AFC South): Harris played in 24 plays on special teams and contributed one tackle in a 22-21 Week 5 road win at Arizona that was the Titans' first victory of the 2025 season. Harris has played in all five games in 2025, primarily on special teams, in which he has played in 98 of his 100 plays. He has three tackles and one blocked extra-point recovery.
Week 6 – Sun., Oct. 12, 1:05 pm – at Las Vegas (1-4) – FOX

Jaylinn Hawkins – S, New England (3-2, No. 7 AFC, Place, 2nd AFC East): Hawkins played in all 68 defensive plays and filled up the stat sheet with three tackles, 0.5 sacks (-4 yards), one quarterback hit and one fumble recovery in a 23-20 Week 5 road win over previously unbeaten Buffalo. Hawkins has started all five games in 2025 alongside fellow safety and former Golden Bear Craig Woodson and contributed 23 tackles, along with one interception that he returned one yard, 1.5 sacks (-9 yards), two tackles for loss, two quarterback hits, one pass defense and one fumble recovery.
Week 6 – Sun., Oct. 12, 10 am – at New Orleans (1-4) – CBS

Elijah Hicks – S, Chicago (2-2, No. 11 NFC, 4th NFC North): Hicks participated in 19 plays (18 special teams, 1 defense) and contributed one tackle in a 25-24 Week 4 road win at Las Vegas in his most recent action before a Week 5 bye. He has played in all four games in 2025 and contributed three tackles.
Week 6 – Mon., Oct. 13, 5:15 pm – at Washington (3-2) – ABC

Cameron Jordan – DE, New Orleans (1-4, No. 15 NFC, 4th NFC South): Jordan had three tackles, one quarterback hit and one fumble recovery to help the Saints to their first win of 2025 in a 26-14 Week 5 home win over the New York Giants. Jordan has started each of the first five games of the 2025 season, his 15th in the NFL all with New Orleans, and compiled 15 tackles, 2.5 sacks (21.5 yards), four tackles for loss, five quarterback hits, one pass defense and one fumble recovery in a season in which he has passed Drew Brees as New Orleans' all-time leader in both games played and games started.
Week 6 – Sun., Oct. 12, 10 am – vs. New England (3-2) – CBS

Patrick Mekari – OL, Jacksonville (4-1, No. 5 AFC, T1st AFC South): Mekari started at right guard for the fifth consecutive game and played in all 58 offensive plays in a 31-28 Week 5 home win over Kansas City despite leaving a 26-21 Week 4 victory at San Francisco with a knee injury in the fourth quarter. Week 6 – Sun., Oct. 12, 10 am – vs. Seattle (3-2) – FOX

Nikko Remigio – WR/RET, Kansas City (2-3, No. 10 AFC, 3rd AFC West): Remigio had two punt returns for two yards while seeing action in just eight plays, all on special teams, in a 31-28 Week 5 loss at Jacksonville. On the season, Remigio has played in all five games off the bench and is third on the team with 289 all-purpose yards on seven kick returns for 187 yards, eight punt returns for 70 yards, one reception for 21 yards, and one rush for 11 yards.
Week 6 – Sun., Oct. 12, 5:20 pm – vs. Detroit (4-1) – NBC, UNIVERSO

Aaron Rodgers – QB, Pittsburgh (3-1, No. 3 AFC, AFC North 1st Place): Rodgers, who had a Week 5 bye, led Pittsburgh to a win for the third time in his first four games in his most recent action with his new team in a 24-21 Week 4 victory over Minnesota in a game played at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland. Rodgers completed 18-of-22 passes for 200 yards with one touchdown on an 80-yard scoring strike to DK Metcalf and no interceptions for a 119.7 rating in the contest, while he also ran three times for eight yards, including a season-long 10-yard run. In his Steelers' debut in Week 1, Rodgers led Pittsburgh to a 34-32 comeback road win in the house of his former team the New York Jets, completing 22-of 30 passes for 244 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions for a 136.7 rating that was his best in a game since the 2022 campaign. In the first four games of the 2025 season, he has completed 74-of-108 passes for 786 yards with eight touchdowns and three interceptions for a 102.6 rating that is his highest since posting a 111.9 mark the season he earned his fourth and most recent Associated Press MVP honor in 2021 while still with Green Bay.
Week 6 – Sun., Oct. 12, 10 am – vs. Cleveland (1-4) – CBS

Jake Tonges, TE, San Francisco (4-1, No. 1 NFC, 1st NFC West): Tonges had a career-high seven receptions for 41 yards, including a six-yard touchdown catch for the game's opening score and a combined four receptions in the fourth quarter and overtime in a 26-23 Week 5 win at the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday Night Football. Tonges' 2025 season has been full of accomplishments and highlights that also include his first career start in a 16-15 Week 3 win over Arizona and a heroic performance in a 17-13 Week 1 victory at Seattle when he made a game-winning acrobatic four-yard touchdown catch in the end zone on the 49ers' final drive. Tonges has all 19 of his career receptions, 166 yards receiving and three touchdown receptions that tie for 12th in the NFL in 2025.
Week 6 – Sun., Oct. 12, 1:25 pm – at Tampa Bay (4-1) – CBS

Nohl Williams – CB, Kansas City (2-3, No. 10 AFC, 3rd AFC West): Williams had two tackles both on special teams in a 31-28 Week 5 loss at Jacksonville. In the first five games of his 2025 NFL rookie season all off the bench, Williams has 10 tackles, three pass defenses and a downed punt inside the 5-yard line.

Craig Woodson – S, New England (3-2, No. 7 AFC, Place, 2nd AFC East): Woodson had four tackles in a 23-20 Week 5 road win at previously unbeaten Buffalo.
