Cal Plays For Raising The B.A.R. Championship
Bears Look For Second Straight Tournament Title
The California women's basketball team (3-1) will be playing for its second straight Raising The B.A.R. Invitational championship when it hosts Harvard (2-2) today at 7 p.m. PT at Haas Pavilion.
Prior to the championship game, Charlotte will face Oakland in the consolation game at 5 p.m.
An all-tournament team and tournament MVP will be announced directly after the championship game.
This is the fourth all-time meeting between the two programs with Harvard owning a 2-1 series lead. Cal's sole win in the series came in a 96-54 win on Dec. 2, 2006 at Haas Pavilion.
Harvard is 2-2 and is coming off an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2024-25. The Crimson are led by fourth-year head coach Carrie Moore who led the team to a program-record 24 wins last season. Harvard features Karlee White who is averaging 14.8 points per game and Gabby Anderson who is averaging 7.5 rebounds per game.
Sunday's game will be streamed on ACCNX with Dave Benz and Ashlee Jones on the call.

In the 69-44 win over Charlotte on Saturday:
- Puff Morris had her best game as a Bear going for a season-high 17 points (including 5-for-10 from deep), eight rebounds and six assists.
- Mjracle Sheppard contributed 16 points to tie her career high (including a career-high three 3-pointers) and added six rebounds and five steals – just two off her career high.
- Taylor Barnes finished with double-figure points for the third time this season with 13 points while adding six rebounds.
- The Bears held the 49ers to just 32.1% from the field and just two 3-pointers for the game.
Starting Five
- Barnes is the only freshman in the ACC to rank in the top five in the conference in total points, rebounds and assists among all freshmen (through Nov. 11).
- Morris is the last freshman at Cal to have at least five 3-pointers in a game since current Bear Lulu Twidale had six against Arizona on Feb. 25, 2024.
- Barnes and Morris are two of only three freshmen in the country (only two in a power 4 conference) to have at least 17 points, five rebounds and five assists in a single game so far this season.
- The Bears have held their opponents to 52 points or less in three games this season. The total already beats last year's mark when Cal held an opponent to under 52 points only once.
- Dating back to the 2023-24 season, Cal has won 14 straight regular season nonconference games at Haas Pavilion.
