Cal Set To Host Syracuse
Bears Look To Sweep The Weekend
Coming off the win against Boston College on Thursday, the California women's basketball team (20-6, 8-5 ACC) will look to earn its second home ACC weekend sweep of the season when it hosts Syracuse (10-14, 4-9) on Sunday at Haas Pavilion at 3 p.m. PT.
A win against Syracuse would match the most wins in a season for Cal since 2017-18 (21-11) and give the Bears their ninth win against a team from the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
This marks just the second meeting between the two programs with Cal winning the first matchup, 57-53, on Nov. 22, 2002.
Syracuse is led by third-year head coach Felisha Legette-Jack who led the Orange to the second round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament. The Orange feature three players who average double figures in scoring led by Georgia Woolley (15.2 points per game).
Sunday's game will air on the ACC Network with Krista Blunk and Mary Murphy on the call.
