Cal Begins Final ACC Homestand Against Georgia Tech
Bears Look To Tie Program Record For Home Wins
The California women's basketball team (22-7, 10-6 ACC) has a chance to tie the program's record for home wins (15), set in 2012-13, when it begins its final ACC homestand taking on Georgia Tech (21-7, 9-7 ACC) at Haas Pavilion on Thursday at 7 p.m. PT.
This marks the first-ever meeting between the programs.
Georgia Tech is led by sixth-year head coach Nell Fortner who has led her team to two NCAA Tournament appearances during her tenure. The Yellow Jackets feature Kara Dunn who leads the team in scoring (15.7 points per game) and five-time ACC Freshman of the Week Dani Carnegie.
Thursday's game will be streamed on ACCNX with Ashlee Jones and Chris Sylvester on the call.

In the loss at Virginia Tech on Sunday:
- The Bears came up just short as Ioanna Krimili made what would have been a game-tying 3-pointer with 11 seconds left but had her toe on the line.

Player Notes
- Krimili's 423 career 3-pointers rank 11th on the NCAA's all-time career list. She needs to hit just two more to move into a tie for 10th place all time.
- Krimili and Lulu Twidale are the best 3-point shooting duo in the nation. Krimili is ranked seventh (86) while Twidale is ranked 13th (81) (through Feb. 24). No other school has a duo who have combined for more made 3-pointers or rank in the top 20.
- Twidale leads all sophomores in the nation in made 3-pointers (through Feb. 24).
- Suarez is 1 of 5 players in the conference to rank in the top 25 in scoring, rebounding and field goal percentage (45.2) during ACC play. Her 18 3-pointers in conference play rank second among the five players.
- Suarez is one of only 13 forwards in the country and only one of two in the ACC shooting at least 46% from the field and 31% from deep (min. 90 3PTA).
- Williams is just one of three players in the nation shooting at least 50.0% from the field, 40.0% from deep and totaling at least 125 assists on the season. The other two are Paige Bueckers (UConn) and Olivia Miles (Notre Dame).
- Over the past three games Williams is shooting 45.5% from deep and averaging 17.3 points per game while having a 3.0 assist to turnover ratio.
- Of Michelle Onyiah's eight double-doubles for the season, six have occurred during ACC play, which rank fourth in the conference. She has registered a double-double in three of her last six games.
- Onyiah is setting career single-season highs across several categories this year: FG% (59.4), rebounding (7.1) and scoring (11.2). During ACC play she is shooting 59.2% from the field.

- At 22-7, Cal is off to its best overall start under Smith and since the 2012-13 season (26-2). Cal's seven road wins are the most under Smith.
- Cal is 1 of 28 teams in the country with at least three Quad 1 wins.
- Cal is currently 9-6 against teams from the 2024 NCAA Tournament with wins over No. 19 Alabama, No. 21 NC State, Florida State, Gonzaga, Auburn, Arizona, Syracuse and Stanford (twice).
- Entering this week, Cal is one of only four schools in the country to have five players averaging over 10 points per game.
