Bears Look To Start Win Streak Against Virginia

Cal Coming Off Incredible Turnaround Win Against Oregon

The California lacrosse team  will return to California Memorial Stadium on Saturday at 12 p.m. PT for its second ACC game of the season against Virginia. 
 

The two teams have only met twice in history, and Virginia has won both meetings. Cal last played the Cavaliers on February 13, 2022 in Charlottesville, VA 
 

The Bears are coming off of an incredible comeback 10-7 win over Oregon on Thursday.  The Ducks initially led 6-1 at the end of the first quarter. However, with five Bears-  Emily Moes, Courtney Wong, Kennedy Mason, Jane Middleton, and Willow Cyr - scoring goals for Cal along with Callan Fritsch's season high 13 saves, the Bears were able to secure the win.

  • Cal has 16 regular-season games scheduled in 2025 with seven at home and nine on the road, while the team's nine ACC games will include four on the road and five in Berkeley.

  • Senior midfielder Kennedy Mason currently leads the team with 12 goals, scoring a third of the team's overall goals. 

  • Sophomore attacker Emily Moes is second on the team with eight goals.
