Cal Faces Stanford, SMU In ACC Tilts
The No. 35 California women's tennis team (5-4, 2-0 ACC) continues ACC play with two matches this weekend – against No. 27 Stanford in the Big Slam on the Farm and at home against No. 60 SMU at the Hellman Tennis Complex. The Golden Bears (5-4, 2-0 ACC) had been scheduled to host 55th-ranked San Diego on Wednesday, but that match was postponed due to rain.

Saturday's match at Stanford's recently built Taube Pavilion includes live scores only, while the live stream and live scores will be in effect Sunday at Hellman.

Cal produced a challenging schedule last week that included playing then-No. 20 Pepperdine on Thursday, Boston College on Friday and then-No. 56 Syracuse on Saturday at the Hellman Tennis Complex. The
Bears defeated the Waves 5-2 in the teams' second meeting of the season, with
Jessica Alsola clinching the Bears' win when she bested 59th-ranked Anastsiia Grechkina 6-7(2), 6-4, 6-2. Against the Eagles,
Mao Mushika beat Olivia Benton 6-2, 6-1 to clinch the 7-0 rout. In the 5-2 win over Syracuse,
Berta Passola Folch became the fifth different Bear to clinch a win this season when she defeated Shiori Ito 6-4, 6-0.

- All-American Katja Wiersholm has a singles record of 8-5
- Wiersholm was one of four Bears – including Mao Mushika, Lan Mi and Jessica Alsola – who competed in the NCAA individual championships at Baylor in the fall
- Wiersholm advanced to the NCAA singles round of 16 to earn All-America singles honors in Waco, Texas
- Alsola, who paired with Mushika at NCAA doubles in Waco, has a 5-2 doubles record with Mushika and is 11-5 in singles
- Mushika, a sophomore who reached the second round of NCAA singles, has 14-8 singles mark

- Sophomore Tiziana-Marie Schomburg is 10-5 in singles
