STANFORD – Part of California track & field's distance squad appeared Friday night at Cobb Track and Angell Field for the Payton Jordan Invitational hosted by cross-Bay rival Stanford, seeking one last tune-up before the Golden Bears' final meet of the regular season.

After Lamarr Kirk Jr. posted the second-best time of any section in the men's 800m (1:53.88), Rowan FitzGerald took first in Section Two of the men's 1500m with a time of 3:53.34 while redshirt freshman Alexander Lodewick finished in 3:56.94. Justin Pretre (3:45.14) and Caden Carney (3:45.99) competed in the primary 1500m section along with school record-holder Garrett MacQuiddy, who was entered as a pacer and thus did not finish the race.

Freshman Zoe Lahanas was Cal's only female competitor of the night, posting an 800m time of 2:16.92.
