BERKELEY – The California women's soccer team announced its 2025 fall schedule Tuesday, unveiling a 19-match slate that features 10 contests to be played at Edwards Stadium. The full schedule can be seen here.

The Golden Bears head into their second season as members of the ACC, which is widely regarded as the top conference in the sport. Cal and eight other ACC programs made the NCAA Championship in 2024, including all four College Cup teams that the Bears saw during the regular season.

The 2025 schedule features four schools that ended last year in the United Soccer Coaches top 25 poll and six NCAA Championship teams. Most notably, Cal will host Pepperdine (Aug. 24) in a rematch of the 2024 NCAA Championship first round and will visit 2023 national champion Florida State (Oct. 19). The Bears will also play host to two top 25 Bay Area rivals in Santa Clara (Sept. 20) and Stanford (Oct. 30 – Senior Day).

The Bears will begin the year on the road with a pair of Big West matchups facing UC San Diego in the season opener on Aug. 14 and Cal State Fullerton on Aug. 17.

Cal takes the pitch at Edwards Stadium for its home opener on Aug. 21 against San Francisco, a team that the Bears have an 11-2 goal differential against in their last two meetings.

ACC play begins on the road at Pitt (Sept. 11) against the Panthers, who the Bears blanked at home 1-0 last fall to earn their first ranked win of the season. The conference home opener is scheduled for Sept. 25 versus Syracuse.

Last season the Bears finished their inaugural ACC campaign tied for sixth place with 16 points after posting a 5-4-1 conference record. A strong showing in the competitive conference led to Cal's 14th NCAA Championship selection under head coach Neil McGuire and its first postseason win in 10 years with the team defeating the Waves on a golden goal from Courtney Boone in double overtime last November. Senior Karlie Lema brought the Bears some national recognition as the NCAA's goal leader for most of the season who was named ACC Offensive Player of the Year.

This year Cal returns 17 members of the 2024 roster including Second Team All-ACC goalkeeper Teagan Wy and 2023 All-Pac-12 selection Mia Fontana, who missed last season due to injury. Six everyday starters also return to the lineup.
