Jared Goff Added To Pro Bowl Games
Former Cal Quarterback To Represent NFC For Fifth Time
Former Cal quarterback and Novato native Jared Goff will return to the Bay Area to participate in the 2026 Pro Bowl Games. The 7-on-7 flag football game that highlights the Pro Bowl Games schedule will take place at Moscone Center in San Francisco on Feb. 3 (5 pm PT, ESPN).Â
Goff, who will represent the NFC at the Pro Bowl for the fifth time, will replace Seattle's Sam Darnold on the NFC roster after the Seahawks defeated the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday to advance to Super Bowl LX at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara on Feb. 8 (3:30 pm PT, NBC).
Goff is coming off one of his most productive seasons in the NFL in 2025 in his 10th season in the league and fifth with his current Detroit Lions. He played in and started all 17 games and ranked among the league's top 10 in touchdown passes (34, 2nd), passing yards (4,564, 2nd), completions (393, 2nd), average yards after catch (6.13, 2nd), completion percentage (68.0%, 3rd), rating (105.3, 3rd), touchdown percentage (5.9, 3rd), passing attempts (578, 4th), average gain (7.90, 5th), interception percentage (1.4, 6th) and fewest interceptions among qualifying players (8, T-8th).
The Lions finished with a 9-8 record but did make the playoffs for the first time since 2022. Goff led Detroit to its first NFC North title and playoff win in 30 years in 2023 before falling in the NFC Championship Game at San Francisco, then he led the Lions to a 15-2 regular-season mark in 2024 before losing its first playoff game to Washington at home in the NFL Divisional Round. The top overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft has played 10 seasons with the Los Angeles Rams (2016-20) and Detroit (2021 - present). He has completed 3440-of-5224 passes (65.8%) for 39,622 yards with 256 touchdown passes and 102 interceptions for a 96.8 rating over 151 career regular-season games (all starts). Â
