Cal Closes Homestand Against No. 7 Louisville
Bears Look For Fourth Straight ACC Win
The California women's basketball team (13-9, 4-5 ACC) will look to add to its three-game win streak in ACC play when it hosts No. 7 Louisville at Haas Pavilion on Sunday at 11 a.m. PT.
This will mark the fifth overall meeting between the two programs with Louisville holding a 3-1 series advantage. The Bears' sole win in the series came in a 75-71 victory at Louisville on Nov. 15, 2015. The Cardinals will be making just their second trip ever to Berkeley.
A win against Louisville would be Cal's highest-ranked win since beating then-No. 8 Stanford on Jan. 31, 2019 and first Top 10 win under
Charmin Smith and 7th ranked win overall. The Cardinals are the highest ranked team to come to Cal since then-No. 7 UCLA on Feb. 2, 2024.
Louisville is currently 20-3 overall and 10-0 in ACC play and are led by 19-year head coach Jeff Walz who has led his team to 12 Sweet 16 appearances during his tenure. The Cardinals feature three players who average double-figure scoring including Imani Berry who was named ACC Player of the Week on Jan. 19 after a 33-point performance against NC State.
Sunday's game will air on the CW Network with Kylen Mills and Mary Murphy on the call.
