CATHEDRAL CITY – Junior Carly Raven drove in two runs – including her second homer in as many days, but the California softball team dropped a pair of games at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic on Friday.
Raven hit a two-run blast three batters into game one of the Bears doubleheader, but Cal (5-8) ultimately fell to Fresno State 5-4. Cal then dropped an 8-3 decision to Nevada.
Off the bench, Natalie Marshall found success at the plate, going 2-2 with one walk and a double. Marshall also scored a run in the Bears' loss to Nevada.
The Bears (5-8) resume play in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic on Saturday with a matchup against No.4 Oklahoma.
