CATHEDRAL CITY – Junior Carly Raven drove in two runs – including her third homer of the weekend on day three of the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, but the California softball team dropped a close one to No. 4 Oklahoma on Saturday.

Raven gave the Bears their first lead in the second on a single through the right side, after Kayli Counts tied the game on a single to right field.

Kyndal Todd and Gator Robinson each homered in the third to extend Cal's lead to 4-1 over the Sooners.

OU pulled within two after scoring on an error in the fourth. In the sixth, Oklahoma retook the lead using a five-run inning to pull ahead 7-4.

Raven homered in the seventh to bring the final score to 7-5.

The Bears (5-9) close out the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic on Sunday as they take on Auburn and No. 6 Nebraska in a doubleheader.
