Cox Leads Bears at Desimone Invitational
Freshman Shot a Career Best 6-Under Par To Help Bears End the Day in Sixth Place
DALY CITY - California men's golf shot a 14-under par 562 Monday, ending the day in sixth place overall. The Bears were led by freshman
Trevor Cox, who shot a career best 6-under par 66 in the first round, following it up with an even par 72 in the second round to finish the day in ninth place.
Sophomore
Ziqin Zhou shot a 2-under par 70 in the second round, while redshirt-sophomore
Sihao Cong shot a 4-under par 68 in round two. Both players ended the day at 2-under par in a tie for 33rd place.
Freshman
Xihuan Chang ended the day at one-under par, while fifth year
Charlie Berridge shot a 1-over 145.
Arizona State leads the team field at 29-under par, while Pongsapak Laopakdee (ASU) sits atop the leaderboard at 13-under par.
The Bears will resume action tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. PT.
