TALLAHASSEE – The California softball team fell to No. 10 Florida State, 9-0, in five innings on Saturday afternoon at JoAnne Graf Field.
The Seminoles jumped out to an early 7-0 lead in the first inning, using six hits to seize control.
Florida State added a run in the second to make it 8-0, then plated another in the fourth to extend the lead to 9-0.
Cal falls to 10-21 overall and 1-7 in ACC play. The Bears return to action on Sunday for the series finale against the Seminoles.
