Cal Places 12 On MPSF All-Academic Honor Roll
Claire Rowell Leads Bears With Her 4th MPSF Scholar-Athlete Selection
California women's water polo has a dozen Golden Bears on the MPSF All-Academic Team, including five first-time honorees. Redshirt senior
Claire Rowell leads the group with her fourth round of MPSF academic accolades, while senior
Abbi Magee closes her Cal career as a three-time selection. Their fellow 2026 Cal graduates,
Nieve Courtney and
Lindsey Harris, both have topped off their resumes with their first MPSF honors.
For juniors
Julia Bonaguidi,
Kate Meyer,
Julianne Snyder and
Feline Voordouw, along with redshirt sophomore
Talia Fonseca, this is their second set of MPSF All-Academic honors. Eligible for the first time for the award as sophomores,
Maria Bogachenko,
Holly Dunn and Ester Varró have landed their spots on the MPSF All-Academic Team.
To be eligible for MPSF All-Academic honors, student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0, be a sophomore academically, complete one full academic year at their current institution and compete in at least 50 percent of the team's competitions.
The 12 academic honorees represent a Cal program that reached the NCAA final for the second time in three years, knocking off defending champion Stanford in the 2026 NCAA semifinals. Cal finished the season ranked No. 2 in the nation and had five players named ACWPC All-Americans.
