Junior California women's basketball guard Sofia Bowes was selected for the Poland U20 national team which is currently competing in the FIBA U20 EuroBasket tournament in the Lithuanian cities of Alytus and Klaipeda this month.
 
The Polish team went 3-0 in in group C play with wins over the national teams from Iceland, Italy and Serbia and played its first-round playoff game today with a 56-47 win over Slovenia. 
 
Bowes and Poland will face Israel, who defeated Hungary earlier today, in the quarterfinal round on Friday (time TBD). The game will be livestreamed HERE.
