2024 (Outdoor): First-Team All-American… competed in seven meets for Cal… tied for sixth place in the pole vault at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a mark of 5.52m (18-1.25)… qualified for the NCAA Championships with a mark of 5.42m (17-9.25) at the NCAA West Preliminary… was the 12th-ranked pole vaulter in the nation headed into the NCAA West Preliminary… repeated as Pac-12 Champion with a height of 5.34m (17-6.25)… opened his outdoor campaign with a mark of 5.52m (18-1.25) at the Aztec Invitational.
2024 (Indoor): USTFCCCA Honorable Mention… appeared in four meets for Cal… competed in the pole vault at the NCAA Indoor Championships… broke his own school record in the pole vault with a winning mark of 5.53m (18-1.75), the 12th-best mark in the country… took third place in the pole vault at the New Mexico Team Open with a mark of 5.51m (18-1).
2023 (Outdoor): USTFCCCA Honorable Mention… appeared in eight meets for Cal, competing in the pole vault… posted a mark of 5.30m (17-4.5) at the NCAA Outdoor Championships… cleared the bar at 5.40m (17-8.5) at the NCAA West Preliminary… at his first-ever Pac-12 Championships, won the title with a mark of 5.47m (17-11.25)… tied for third-best in program history (and 14th-best in Division I that season) after posting a winning mark of 5.55m (18-2.5) at the Mt. SAC Relays… set a new meet record at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational with a leap of 5.52m (18-1.25).
2023 (Indoor): Competed in three meets for Cal… at the Ken Shannon Last Chance Invitational, posted the second-best pole vault in program history with a mark of 5.43m (17-9.75), good for the NCAA’s 24
th-best height and second place at the meet… vaulted to a height of 5.34m (17-6.25) at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational, earning third place.
2022 (Outdoor): Competed in five meets for Cal… set a new personal outdoor pole vault best of 4.61m (15-1.5) at the Big Meet… posted a mark of 4.46m (14-7.5) at the Stanford Invitational.
2022 (Indoor): Appeared in three meets for the Bears.
2021 (Outdoor): Competed in six meets for the Bears… at the Cal-USC Dual, set the Pac-12’s 23
rd-best mark of the season with a vault of 4.40m (14-5.25)… had a top height of 4.25m (13-11.25) at the Trojan Invitational… posted a mark of 4.25m (13-11.25) at the Cal-Sac State Dual.
2021 (Indoor): Competed in two indoor meets… reached a height of 4.60m (15-1) in the pole vault competition at the Air Force Invitational.
2020: Finished sixth in the men’s pole vault at the UW Invitational with a height of 4.46m… Recorded a new personal best at the Don Kirby Invitational with a top height of 4.77 meters and finished second in the event.
HIGH SCHOOL: As a senior, reached the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Finals in the pole vault… also competed in the 2019 National Pole Vault Summit as a member of the Higher Flyers Pole Vault Club… was Marina High School’s 2019 Athlete of the Year, as well as team MVP… in 2018, placed fifth in the CIF State Finals… earlier that year, he took second at the California Track & Field Winter Championships and first in the high school division at the National Pole Vault Summit… named 2018 Sunset League MVP and 2018 Marina Field Athlete of the Year… won the pole vault competition at the 2017 USA Track & Field (USATF) Region 15 Junior Olympic Championships… also reached the CIF – Southern Section (SS) Preliminaries that year… as a freshman, placed second at the USATF Region 15 Junior Olympic Championships, second at the California State Games, and competed in the Sunset League Finals.
PERSONAL: Majored in data science... intends to start his own software company… son of Kevin and Stacie Magula… brother Michael was a pole vaulter at Cal State Long Beach.
