CROSS COUNTRY 
2021: Raced in five meets… posted a personal record in the 10k with his time of 32:05.5 at the NCAA West Region Cross Country Championships… placed 50^th out of over 250 competitors with his time of 25:16.4 in the 8k race at the NCAA Pre-Nationals… took fifth place with a personal-best 8k time of 24:49.8 at the Sacramento State Invitational.

2020-2021: Did not compete. 

TRACK & FIELD
2022 (Outdoor): Competed in three meets for the Bears… finished second in the 1500m at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational with a time of 3:51.83… ran a personal-best 3:47.22 in the 1500m at the Cardinal Classic, good for third place… Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll.

2022 (Indoor): Competed in two meets for the Bears… set a personal best of 8:12.67 in the 3000m run at the Pac-12 Invitational… finished the 3000m in 8:15.41 at the Husky Classic... named to the Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll.

2021: Did not compete… made the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL: 2020 Male CIF Scholar Athlete of the Year… placed first in the 1500m run at the 2020 California Winter State Track & Field Championships… qualified for the 2019 Nike Cross Nationals after finishing in 15^th place at that year’s California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Cross Country Championships… placed third in the 1500m race at the 2019 Winter State Championships, where his squad took second place in the distance medley relay and fourth in the 4x800m relay… competed at the 2018 Nike Cross Nationals.

PERSONAL: Majoring in nutritional science with plans to enter the medical field after graduation… son of Lawrence and Amanda Sawires Yager… mother is a Cal alumna.
