Clute had a breakout junior season which continued into the spring...one of Cal's best players on the ball and maintaining possession...can deliver a great ball into the final third of the field...serves excellent long balls with both feet.

CAL: 2004: Named Cal's Most Improved Player...played in all 20 games, making eight starts...recorded seven points from two goals and three assists...credited with the game-winning goal in a 2-0 victory over Pennsylvania...posted game-winning assists against No. 24 Arizona and San Jose State. 2003: Played in three contests as a sophomore. 2002: Saw action in five games.

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: Helped Centennial HS to the 2001 Oregon state championship...two-year team captain...played on FC Portland's (club) State Cup championship team...two-time all-state selection and two-time conference player of the year...also participated on the U15-17 Region IV teams...earned a spot on the adidas ESP Camp all-star team...American studies major...parents are Glen and Jennifer Clute...born July 10, 1984 in Portland, OR.
