BERKELEY- With a trip to super regionals on the line, the No. 1 California softball team did what it's been doing all season - win. The Golden Bears defeated Arkansas, 7-0, on Sunday evening to capture the Berkeley Regional. Cal will host Washington at Levine-Fricke Field next week for the Berkeley Super Regional. Dates and times have yet to be announced.
Arkansas upset top-seeded Cal 3-2 on Saturday. The Bears eliminated BU 8-0 on Saturday night to keep their season alive. Cal run-ruled the Razorbacks 10-2 in five innings in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader, forcing the if necessary game seven.
Jolene Henderson pitched back-to-back wins, improving to 34-2 in the circle. Britt Vonk tallied her first homer of the year and Ashley Decker drove in two runs of her own.

Jamia Reid put an upstairs pitch through the left side and went to second on a perfect sacrifice bunt by Britt Vonk. Arioto was intentionally walked and Echavarria reached on a fielder's choice, when her hit was stopped at short but there was no play to be made at second. With the bases loaded, Jace Williams grounded out to second, plating Reid. A wild pitch brought Arioto home and then an Ashley Deckersingle to right plated Echavarria.

Cheyenne Cordes singled through the left side, Jamia Reid laid down a bunt single, bringing up Britt Vonk, who cranked out her first homer of the year.
