February 18, 2010
Dear Football Season Ticket Holders:
With one of the top recruiting classes in the nation, the Student Athlete High Performance Center project construction in full gear, and a great home schedule next season, it is an exciting time for Cal Football. The 2010 season will kick off on September 4th against UC Davis and the rest of the home schedule includes Colorado, Washington, UCLA, the defending Pac-10 Champion Oregon Ducks and the 113th Big Game against Stanford.
As we prepare for our final season in the current Memorial Stadium and are finalizing the plan for 2011, I want to emphasize how important it is to continue to renew your season tickets. Cal fans that renew their season tickets and maintain their donation levels will have access to the best possible season seat locations when we return to the upgraded California Memorial Stadium in 2012.
As a loyal season ticket holder we truly appreciate your commitment to Cal Football. This year we will be implementing a series of new benefits for our season ticket holders to enjoy. The football season ticket renewal period will begin February 22nd at 9:00am. Prior to this date you will receive instructions in the mail regarding the ordering process. As a new benefit, the first 200 accounts to renew will receive two (2) complimentary tickets to the Cal vs. Arizona Men's Basketball game on Thursday, February 25.
Those who renew their season tickets by the April 8th renewal deadline will be eligible to receive the following benefits:
- Exclusive Season Ticket Holder Pin
- Commemorative Souvenir "Big Game" Ticket
- Invitation to the Season Ticket Holder only Breakfast
- 7 weeks of prizes - Every Friday during the renewal period we will give away one prize to a season ticket holder who renews their tickets during that week.
When renewing online, please refer to your Customer Number and PIN at the bottom of the renewal reminder and email. We encourage you to quickly and easily renew your season tickets online at CalBears.com. During the renewal process, you will also have the opportunity to upgrade your seats and add on parking permits and other items to your order.
If you have trouble renewing or did not receive the mailing or email with your Customer Number and PIN by February 22nd, please call (800) GO BEARS to speak to one of our customer service representatives. Also, if it is absolutely necessary for you to receive a paper renewal form, please advise us as soon as possible of this need by phone. Please note - the season ticket renewal deadline and the donation payment deadline are both April 8, 2010.
Next season will be our last year in Memorial Stadium under the current configuration and with the existing seating structure. For 2011 and for our return to a renovated stadium in 2012 and beyond, seating will be guided by the Endowment Seating Program. I hope that you will consider participating in ESP, guaranteeing you one of the best seats in the house, and ensuring the future of our intercollegiate athletics program. To learn more about ESP visit www.calesp.com or call our Development Staff at (510) 642-2427.
On behalf of the Cal Athletics family, I want to thank you for your continued support of Cal Football. Your dedication is crucial to our success on the field and it is recognized by our coaching staff, student-athletes, administration and loyal fans. We look forward to seeing you again in the fall.
GO BEARS!
Sincerely,

Sandy Barbour
