Annual Scholarship Giving
Scholarship support is a highly impactful way to enable Cal scholar-athletes to study at, and compete for, the world’s greatest public institution. It profoundly affects their daily lives at our great university, allowing them increased access to the tremendous opportunities for personal and professional development on campus. Bear Backers have many ways to support scholarships for Cal scholar-athletes.
 Cal Athlethics Fund
The Cal Athletics Fund (CAF) provides immediate support to all 30 sport programs and all 850 scholar-athletes served by Cal Athletics. The primary priority of the Cal Athletics Fund is to ensure that the scholarship needs at Cal are met.

Sport-Specific Annual Gifts
If your passion and philanthropic interests are sport-specific, please visit the giving page for our 30-sport programs. Support to individual athletic programs enables our teams to provide scholarships as well as athletic and academic programs for scholar-athletes.
Named Annual Scholarships
Bear Backers who give to an annual scholarship ($100,000 gift that can be pledged in $25,000 increments over four years) are honored with a plaque in Haas Pavilion's main corridors. This important group of donors can designate their named scholarships to support the Cal Athletics Fund or one of Cal's 30 sports and are invited to the annual scholar-athlete scholarship banquet.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All gifts to the Cal Athletics Fund are eligible for football and men's basketball donor seating benefits. Donations that are to be considered for football seating and parking must be received by April 30. Donations considered for men’s basketball priority seating and parking privileges must be received by June 30.
