AS A SENIOR (2018):

• Appeared in 22 games in his final year as a Golden Bear with eight starts.
• Hit .184 with two doubles, six runs scored and six RBIs.
• Drove in two runs in a win over Cal St. Bakersfield on Feb. 24.
• Appeared in 77 games with 34 starts during four years at Cal. Compiled a .243 career average with nine doubles, 14 runs scored and 19 RBIs.

AS A JUNIOR (2017):

• Entered the season as a catcher but ended it as a valuable utility man and a primary option at designated hitter for the Bears.
• Appeared in 40 games (24 starts) and hit .296 with 24 hits in 81 at-bats. Also had seven doubles, 13 RBI, four runs scored and eight walks.
• Was particularly impressive in conference play, hitting .383 (18 for 47) with four runs, four doubles and nine RBI.
• Saw playing time in left field as well as first base and DH.
• Finished the year in fine form, going 4 for 8 with a double and four RBI in Cal's season-ending series win at No. 15 Arizona.
• Enjoyed a standout weekend in Utah from April 13-15 as he went 6 for 11 with a double, run and RBI against the Utes.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2016):

• Appeared in 12 games for the Bears, making two starts
• Finished the season with a .125 BA and two runs scored

AS A FRESHMAN (2015):

• Made three appearances during his first year on campus, going 0-for-1 and scoring two runs after walking twice.

• As a senior catcher at Valencia High School was first-team All-Empire League, second-team All-Orange County, second-team All-CIF Southern Section and second-team all-state
• All competed in football and basketball in high school
• Undeclared major with an interest in attending law school
• Parents are Mark and Kim Ruff
